I’m going to start this off with a little bit of a dedication, my own kind of dedication (because, as you will soon learn, I tend to do things my own way).
On November 25, 2012 I lost my mother. That also just so happens to be the date I actually started listening to her. You can imagine the teenage years; a girl who likes to do things her own way (and knows it all might I add) with a mother who just wanted to make sure she learned the most important lessons in life. In the months after she left this world I began to realize that she had been right, about everything, all along.
Among the many, many things I learned from the extraordinary woman who raised me are some the ideals I live my life by now: YOU come first, YOU are responsible for your own happiness and life is VERY short so follow your passions, go to the party, take the trip, tell him how you feel, whatever it is YOU want to do, DO IT.
The first 28 years of my life were spent ‘directed’ by the ‘audience’. I lived life the way everyone else wanted me to. Made the decisions that were expected and never made the unexpected or spontaneous choice. And then, just like that, it was time to take my life back and live it the way I wanted to.
So here it is, my journey, my adventures, my passions, my Wonder Life. I do things my way, the way I see fit. It might be a bumpy ride at times, life is unpredictable, but it’ll be a fun one, that I can guarantee.
Thank you Mom, for inspiring me to take the reigns and do things my way.
Everything I do is with you in my heart!
I hope to inspire all of you to do the same. Take the reigns back on your lives and enjoy the ride.
Because after all, this is YOUR Wonder Life!
